There will be an upcoming fundraiser hosted by The Provincetown Commons with a portion of the proceeds going to The Sail Loft’s ongoing expenses (website, potluck supplies). “Fruit Stand” will be an experiential exhibition by @laurashabottart for the fundraising event “Back to the Beach: A Summer Kickoff,” Sunday, May 24th, 1:00-4:00.

And we need your assistance to get this going!

1. Come make art with us on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 5th and 6th, 3:00 to 6:00 pm each day

We need your talents to create 120 (one hundred twenty) 4 inch x 3 inch unpainted wooden cutout stand-up flowers to paint, 13 (thirteen) cutout pineapples, and 50 (fifty) cloth, stuffed fruits, made of felt, donated cloth, with accessories like buttons, pearls, sequins, feather, threads, ribbons to sell at the event. Paint a flower, pineapple or make a fruit. Patterns to make cloth apples, pears, bananas and strawberries from cloth are available to cut from. Precut fabrics will be available, and we are looking for cotton or poly stuffing. The palette is super-saturated color and fun shapes!

2. Commit to painting flowers in packages of five or painting a pineapple due back to Laura by date/time/place

3. Contribute to our wish list for Fabric Fruit and wooden flowers:

Feathers, glues, brushes, foam brushes, fabrics in super saturated colors or patterns, cotton pillow filling for cloth fruit, cloth, embroidery thread, felt, flannels, granny core fabrics, acrylic paints, glitters, fabric paint, Mod Podge, your own sewing kit if you have one to the event.
